Go Goldfields is a place-based initiative addressing complex social issues in the Central Goldfields Shire, Victoria.

Our collaborative approach brings community, business, service organisations and decision makers together to improve outcomes for children, youth and families. ‘Our community aspiring, achieving and living a full life’; is the vision that drives us towards a positive future.

Our impact work

Our Impact Area partnership, action, and working groups inform our four impact areas of collaboration being; Children and Families, Youth, Family Safety and Economic Participation. These work areas have been determined by the community through extensive consultations and are underpinned by equity, arts, and literacy development principles. Community connections, action and aspirations guide our approach to achieving long term change for children, youth and families.

The Go Goldfields Children and Families Partnership provide guidance to the Early Years’ Service Sector and community to deliver innovative local solutions. Our initiatives focus on the importance of positive family relationships and community connectivity. Our strategies ensure that all children are provided with the resources and support they require for them to reach their full potential for a positive future. Together, we collaborate to achieve our aspiration of; ‘All children are confident, creative, safe and healthy.’
The Go Goldfields Youth Services Alliance aim to improve long term outcomes for our young people, by ensuring that they know they are valued, respected and heard. We work across the youth sector with service providers, schools, government agencies, and community groups to attain this. Together, we strive to achieve our community-driven aspiration of; ‘Our community celebrates our young people as they reach their full potential.’
The Go Goldfields Employment, Education and Training Action Group works with employment, education, training and work readiness service providers to improve employment and education outcomes in Central Goldfields Shire. By collaboratively addressing barriers to economic participation we can focus on improving future pathways for young people. Together, we strive to achieve our community-driven aspiration for;‘Everyone can learn, earn, achieve and dream.’
The Go Goldfields Family Violence Action Group provides the forum for our collaborators to innovate and integrate family violence services and system responses. We elevate the voices of women with lived experience to ensure service providers and decision makers are working collectively to deepen community understanding of the key drivers of family violence. Together, we strive to achieve our community-driven aspiration of; ‘Everyone lives equally and safely in our community.’
